Well it's not so much that the music continues - it stops at the end of WRS but the applause and everything continues until the band starts playing a Tico Tico tuning (or whatever it's called) then they start with Playing In The Band. I couldn't figure it out first time because I thought that WRS was the end of the first set. It's odd - you know when the CD player shows a minus and counts down rather than up (well mine does anyway)? That's what happens for all the Tico Tico stuff.

I was just curious about it because, generally, the editing is done well, i.e. at the end of a set (but not the end of a disc) the sound is faded down, then back up for the start of the next set.

As for the Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack editing, there has to be a sensible reason for it surely? Why chop out 5 mins of jamming from a jamming tune.

I'm breaking my own rule for this thread but I'm baffled by the editing on the Cal Expo '93 Road Trips release. 20-30 mins of drums/space has been cut in favour of having five first set songs from the next night on the end of disc 2. Why on earth? Evidently they're not entirely against full shows (the 68' one and now the 79' show) so why chop out drums/space from one show, then rave about it in the liner notes? The Shakedown and Masterpiece from the next night are good fun but I would have preferred the full show.

It stings a bit because it was marketed as nearly the full show. How can 25 missing minutes from a 100 minute set constitute nearly the full set?
